When Daniel, a successful lawyer, returns home late at night once again to his wife, Catherine, claiming he was with his best friend who is in depression, she cannot accept this excuse—especially since she has never actually seen this friend, Charlie. Pressured by Catherine, Daniel is forced to invite Charlie to dinner. But the absence of a real friend puts the resourceful lawyer in the absurd situation of resorting to the help of a random client he met in a bar. How will the dinner unfold, what risks and twists await Daniel, and will Catherine guess who has actually come to dinner?
