A brilliant Italian comedy full of twists and hilarious mischief:

The beautiful Luisa not only does not recognize her husband Paolo but also wonders who this “stranger” is and wants to throw him out of the house. Heartbroken, Paolo calls in the specialist Professor Alberto Spinelli for a consultation. However, after meeting the doctor, Luisa warmly addresses him and treats him affectionately, convinced that he is her husband.

In order to appease the patient, the two men mutually agree to switch roles (and, of course, names), setting off a delightful whirlwind of misunderstandings in which Luisa grows sweeter and more in love with Alberto while becoming increasingly resentful and scornful toward Paolo.

During one night filled with misunderstandings, after a passionate exchange of playful teasing with her “false” husband, Luisa withdraws to her bedroom and loudly calls for Paolo—but which of the two men should join her in the marital bed?

The next morning, with the help of a not-so-innocent typist, Professor Spinelli believes he has found a “scientific” explanation for Luisa’s amnesia, but a twist of fate leaves him speechless and full of regret.
