The State Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mhedruli" is one of the most dynamic and masterful ensembles in Georgia.
In Georgian, "Mhedruli" means "Horseman Warrior"—a name that inspires the ensemble’s signature dance, known for its fiery temperament, unique technique, and captivating skill, which will be showcased live on stage!
"Mhedruli" is also the name of one of the oldest writing systems in the world, still in use today in Georgia. It has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage, along with Georgia’s breathtaking polyphonic singing, which will leave audiences in awe.
Founded in 2002, the ensemble has held State Ensemble status since 2011. It has earned widespread acclaim in Turkey, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and Ukraine, and enjoyed roaring success in China with a tour of 31 sold-out concerts.
The performance presented to Bulgarian audiences is titled "The Spirit of Georgia"—a story of the country’s history, legends, and heartfelt devotion to God, Women, and Mothers.
