The State Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mhedruli" is one of the most captivating and masterfully skilled ensembles in Georgia.
In Georgian, "Mhedruli" means "Horseman Warrior"—the inspiration behind the ensemble’s iconic dance, performed with fiery energy, unique technique, and remarkable artistry, which audiences will witness live on stage.
"Mhedruli" is also the name of one of the oldest scripts in the world, still used in Georgia to this day. It is recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage, alongside the country's awe-inspiring polyphonic singing, which will be a highlight of the ensemble’s concerts.
Founded in 2002, the ensemble has held State Ensemble status since 2011. It has received great acclaim in countries like Turkey, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and Ukraine, and enjoyed tremendous success in China with a tour of 31 sold-out concerts.
The show presented to Bulgarian audiences is titled "The Spirit of Georgia", telling the story of the country—its history, legends, and deep love for God, Women, and Mothers.
