The State Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mhedruli" is one of the most dynamic and highly skilled ensembles in Georgia.
In Georgian, "Mhedruli" means "Horseman Warrior"—a name that inspires the ensemble’s signature dance, which is full of fiery energy, remarkable technique, and captivating artistry, and will come alive on stage.
"Mhedruli" is also the name of one of the oldest scripts in the world, still used in Georgia today. It has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage, alongside Georgian polyphonic singing, which will take center stage in this unforgettable performance.
Founded in 2002, and granted State Ensemble status in 2011, Mhedruli has received acclaim in Turkey, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and Ukraine, and achieved overwhelming success in China with a tour of 31 sold-out concerts.
The performance presented to the Bulgarian audience is titled "The Spirit of Georgia", telling the story of the country—its history, legends, and timeless devotion to God, Women, and Mothers.
