The State Ensemble of Song and Dance "Mhedruli" is one of the most dynamic and masterfully skilled ensembles in Georgia.
In Georgian, “Mhedruli” means “Horseman Warrior”—the inspiration for the ensemble’s signature dance, which will be performed on stage with incredible temperament, unique technique, and brilliance.
"Mhedruli" is also the name of one of the oldest writing systems in the world, still used in Georgia today. It has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the World Cultural Heritage, alongside the country’s breathtaking polyphonic singing, which will be showcased during the ensemble’s performances.
Founded in 2002, the ensemble has held State Ensemble status since 2011. It has earned high acclaim in countries such as Turkey, Italy, Greece, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Germany, and Ukraine, and enjoyed massive success in China with a tour of 31 sold-out concerts.
The show brought to Bulgarian audiences is titled "The Spirit of Georgia"—a story about the country, its history, legends, and love for God, Women, and Mothers.
